Our Team

Dr. Sabine M. Schmitt

Dr. Sabine M. Schmitt completed her medical school degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1984 and completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of California at Irvine in 1988.  Dr. Schmitt held the position of Clinical Program Coordinator for the Department of Pediatrics, North Orange County Community Clinic, Anaheim, California(an Affiliate Clinic of the University of California at Irvine) prior to moving back to the East Coast.  She continues to be a faculty member of the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation (a foundation within the American Osteopathic Association).  Dr. Schmitt is board certified in Pediatrics as well as Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She founded Long Pond Pediatrics and Osteopathy, P.C. in 1993.

Prior to founding Long Pond Pediatrics and Osteopathy, P.C., Dr. Schmitt practiced pediatric medicine at both large managed care facilities and private practice. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, innovative health care for her patients and their families. The belief that patients and families deserve to receive care and information needed to complete their visit in a compassionate, kind and familiar way has been part of the practice philosophy since the beginning.  Dr. Schmitt has been a champion to her patients and their families since beginning her medical career.

Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is based on the scientific principal that the body is an integrated self-regulating and self-healing mechanism. Dr. Schmitt has incorporated this methodology into her practice as well as the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Schmitt is accepting new patients of all ages.

Dr. Shoshana M. Katz, M.D.

Dr. Shoshana M. Katz graduated from the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1980. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, Morristown, NJ, the University of Connecticut Health Center in 1986 and completed two additional fellowships at the UConn Health Center in Behavioral and Developmental Pediatrics and General Pediatrics from 1986-1990.

Dr. Katz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is also trained in child development and behavior. She has published several papers on Pain and Symptom management and Immune System Changes in Diabetic Patients.

Dr. Katz has served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Connecticut Health Center, School of Medicine in Farmington, Ct. and been a presenter at several conferences on Pediatric issues during the course of her career.

Dr. Katz joined Long Pond Pediatrics and Osteopathy, P.C. in 2004 and is accepting new patients.

Dr. Kimberly Ingalls

Dr. Kimberly Ingalls is the newest member of Long Pond Pediatrics & Osteopathy, having joined in August 2010. She received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies and most recently completed her Pediatric residency at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She received an award for excellence in teaching from the University of Illinois Medical Center for her contributions toward the education of medical students. Dr. Ingalls is Board Certified in Pediatrics.  She is also a member of the AMA, Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Ingalls graduated from Boston University with dual degrees in Biology and Journalism.  Prior to medical school, she also attained her M.P.H. degree from Boston University. She has expertise in the field of Epidemiology and Clinical Research/Study Design, having had extensive work experience in these areas during her employment at a leading biotech/pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, MA prior to entering medical school in 2003.

Dr. Ingalls currently resides in the South Shore and her outside interests include yoga, weight-training, nature walks & spending time at the ocean.
